The Nürburgring is widely believed to be the world’s most legendary racetrack. Its most well-known section, the Nordschleife, is known as “The Green Hell”, and for good reason. After all, it represents pushing motorsport to the limits and poses one of the world’s most demanding challenges for competitors. To mark the 100-year anniversary of the Nürburgring in 2027, a collaboration with BMW M has resulted in the Limited Editions 100 Jahre Nürburgring, each limited to 100 bikes, all with the exclusive Nürburgring green colour scheme. As part of the BMW M family, the Edition models of the M 1000 RR, the M 1000 R and the M 1000 XR combine motorsport tradition, exclusivity and performance at the highest level, while bringing the spirit of the Green Hell to the streets, all over the world.
The Nürburgring and its centrepiece: the Nordschleife. 20.8 kilometres of tarmac. 73 bends. No other racetrack is as uncompromising in the demands it makes of both man and machine. It’s not without reason that legendary racing driver Sir Jackie Stewart one christened it “The Green Hell”. For BMW M, the Nürburgring has served as a benchmark, development track and home turf for the world’s most powerful initials for more than 50 years. It is precisely this long-standing connection that inspired the Limited Editions 100 Jahre Nürburgring: M RR, M R and M XR.
Born on the racetrack, made for the streets.
„We are celebrating the Nürburgring’s anniversary with three M models: M RR, M R and M XR. As part of a collaborative Limited Edition family from BMW Motorrad and BMW M, these models demonstrate how closely both brands work together and their special connection to the Nürburgring. The Edition’s slogan “Born on the race track. Made for the streets.” is a visible expression of this shared goal. Each model also features the Nürburgring green colour scheme, which was developed exclusively for this edition, and a striking Nürburgring silhouette, with each model limited to a run of 100 bikes. The Certificate of Authenticity provided also demonstrates the motorcycle’s exclusive character. The tank with a silhouette of the Nordschleife, an airbox cover with an anniversary design, the black rear swinging arm and the black rear frame, a seat with an Alcantara look and “100” embroidery, as well as carbon wheels with tapes in Nürburgring green all come together to create an unmistakable aesthetic. Supplemented by the M Track package, which is included as standard, the Nürburgring Edition motorcycle mat and the rear assembly stand including mount pin come together to create a total package that is worthy of the Nürburgring and the BMW M name.
