For almost 100 years, BMW Motorrad riders have been celebrating motorsport successes and records all over the world. Since 1929, victories in the automotive sector have been added to this list. The M success story ultimately began in 1972 with the founding of BMW Motorsport GmbH, today's BMW M GmbH. Their credo: M Power, maximum performance and an outstanding overall vehicle concept for the racetrack and road. The numerous racing successes and the many years of know-how of BMW M engineers are incorporated in all BMW M vehicles. The new BMW M3 and M4 were developed primarily on the Nürburgring and other racetracks. The M RR also originates directly from the racetrack. The vehicles are consistently geared to motorsports and assert their claim to leadership.

This is the basis for our premises and prerequisites for the development of our vehicles in terms of technology, materials and design – from M cars to motorbikes such as the M RR. A tribute to motorsport
M RR 50 Years M anniversary model: embodying almost 100 years of racing spirit in motorcycle production and half a century of M DNA. Its standard equipment includes the M Competition package with M carbon-fibre and M milled parts, the M Endurance chain, aluminium anodised swing arm, Passenger package and the activation code for the M GPS lap trigger. With its Sao Paulo Yellow paintwork and the BMW M 50 Years emblem, it stands out: exclusive and extraordinary – typically for an M model.

The M Carbon Package, the M Data Logger, the M Forged Wheels or the Cover Kit show: You are always on the lookout for that decisive millisecond. With the M Performance Race Parts, you can go even further: The performance-enhancing modifications, such as the kit engines or the electronic performance packages, are only available from BMW Motorrad Race Support.
