CUSTOM CONTEST
The BMW R 18 has an endless possibilities of customization. The supreme cruiser with historical roots has inspired countless ideas for our BMW Motorrad dealers, who then embarked on a battle over the most beautiful preparation of our authentic cruiser. From its Fishtail exhaust to the slash cut; the Bobber saddle to its brush stroke on the tank, the best tuners are present: Welcome to the BMW Motorrad Custom Contest.
This contest is part of the continuation of Jiwa Kustom video communication, aspiring for a curated culture among Malaysian bikers, especially, among BMW riders.

THE RULES OF CUSTOM CONTEST
In order for their project to be eligible for the Custom Contest 2021, the dealers who have submitted their participation file have undertaken to respect a few rules.
Projects must be carried out on the basis of R 18 Pure or R 18 Classic and participants cannot technically modify:
- The frame of the motorcycle,
- The engine and in particular the injection,
- The electrical circuit which must be preserved,

The BMW R 18 offers a highly conversion-friendly design. Its easily removable rear frame and a simple-to-dismantle painted part set. Attachment points for the hydraulic lines of the brake, clutch and cable harness likewise allow easy installation of higher or lower handlebars in conjunction with matching hydraulic lines and cable harnesses. In addition, the visible valve covers (cylinder head covers) and the belt cover (engine housing cover) are designed in such a way that they are located outside the oil chamber, making them very easy to change. In essence, the BMW R 18 is an ideal base for the Custom scene.
